Hey, it’s Marisa checking back in! The last few weeks have been really hectic for me considering I’ve gathered up all my belongings and moved back to California with a heads up of only two days. Not only was I moving from Tennessee to California but my family was in the transition of moving houses so it was really chaotic for me coming back home and getting settled in again. Not only was our school year moved online but my softball season was canceled. This is really frustrating considering the fact that I am a freshman and have had the opportunity to earn a starting spot on the field which is a huge accomplishment. It hasn’t been easy making a transition to classes being online especially considering I’m from California so my classes are two hours ahead of the normal time. As much complaining as it seems like I’m doing, I am really grateful for this pandemic because it’s given me more time to spend with my family and to really dive into God’s word and strengthen my relationship with the Lord. Although this is a bummer, it’s taught me a few lessons; appreciate the little things just as much as I appreciate the big things and to live in the moment.

Hopefully you can get that starting spot when softball season starts back up and it's good that you are getting a better connection with God.
